Sunday School

Sunday School classes are held every Sunday from September to June. Classes are offered for ages two through adult. We begin at 9:00 am, on the upper level of the Christian Education Building. This is an opportunity for all classes to join together for an enjoyable time of song and prayer. At 9:15 we move to age appropriate classes. Most Sunday School classes meet on the lower level of the Christian Education Building.

Children ages 2 - 5 meet in Room #1, and enjoy stories, songs, and crafts in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.Children in grades 1 - 3 meet in Room #2. Students read Bible stories, complete activities, and play in a cooperative environment. Also meeting in Room #1 are students in grades 4 and 5, where students read and discuss the Scripture lesson to be taught during worship that day.

Middle and high school students also meet on the lower level. Students study the Scripture lesson of the day, and are encouraged to find connections to their daily lives. Students in this class create and direct the annual Christmas pageant, and lead the worship service on Youth Sunday in June.

Since Christian Education is a lifelong process, two adult classes are offered. The "Kitchen Klass" meets on the lower level of the Christian Education Building in the library. Leadership is shared among participants, with topics chosen by the class. Lively discussion and Bible study is the order of the day. A Women's Class meets on the upper level. Leadership is also shared in the class, with an established curriculum as a guide.

Visitors to our congregation are most welcome to join us for Sunday School. Classes are always open, and there is no need for pre-registration. We acknowledge that busy schedules can make it difficult to commit to weekly attendance, so participation in any given lesson does not require knowledge of the previous one.
